Formulate, week 1

First trials of transforming a set of images.

I searched on Pinterest for ‘inside’ and ‘landscape’ because I thought it would be interesting to work with oppositions (initially I wanted to work with ‘inside and ‘outside’).

The first trial was to put a random image of interior and exterior together and mix them using blending modes in Photoshop.

Another idea was to use hatches and patterns as masks and play with symmetry.

I also gave a try to collages:

But then instead of cutting chosen elements of the photos it seemed interesting to just put ex. rectangular fragments together and see how they sit, do they accidentally create something new.
