Before trying to summarise my position, I needed to define ‘curiosity’, as it was my unintentional driver in this project.

Here’s a video about curiosity https://vimeo.com/128238401 and a fragment of the text extracted from it:

The more you know, the more you want to know. Not only that, but the more you know, the more connections you can make between the bits of knowledge that you have, and therefore the more ideas you will have. Which is really why curiosity is the wellspring of creativity.

Curiosity – desire to comprehend; asking the right questions and striving to answer them purely for the sake of grasping the problem

One of the things that define humans is curiosity, asking questions, the desire to comprehend. Nature is a complex system full of principles which once grasped and understood, could be extracted, abstracted, and reused in a new context.

In virtual space I can play with dissected ideas to create something new but still keeping some of natural qualities, ex. motion.

I want to see how something shaped by those rules would be affected by sounds. To create a sound visualiser where the sound would serve as content translated to another medium, where the natural principles would give it a new form.
